Programmes are individually created in consultation with the client to enable them to define and achieve their goals for an improved quality of life. The principles of Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy are applied to compensate for the cognitive difficulties a person may be experiencing including:

memory loss
difficulty with planning and organising
difficulty getting started with tasks
getting easily overwhelmed
poor problem solving skills
difficulty regulating emotions
managing fatigue and sleep

Programmes typically focus on improving daily living skills in the following areas:

Planning, organising and completing tasks
Creating a daily and weekly routine
Solving day to day problems
Managing money
Accessing the community
Planning and preparing meals
Managing personal hygiene
Managing household tasks
Participating in leisure pursuits
Gaining employment or returning to work
Managing behaviour in different environments
Improving self awareness and emotional regulation
returning to school or work
getting back to driving

Funding

National Disability Insurance Scheme

Alison is a registered NDIS provider. She can provide services to Agency, Plan and Self=Managed participants.

Fees for NDIS clients are:

Agency and Plan Managed participants - $193.99 per hour. Travel is charged at 50% of the hourly rate.

Self Managed Participants - $230 per hour. Travel is charged at $230 per hour.

Kilometre rate of $0.99c per KM.

Private Health Insurance

A large number of private health insurers provide a rebate for occupational therapy. Please contact your health fund directly to confirm your level of funding.

**Please note you are unable to claim a rebate from both Medicare AND your private health insurance. A gap payment will apply for private health insurance clients.

Fees for Private Health Insurance clients are $230 per hour.

Travel is charged at the same hourly rate.

Kilometre rate of $0.99c per KM.

Full payment for service is required. A receipt will be issued to enable the client to claim back from their private health insurer.

Medicare

Alison is able to provide services covered by finding under Medicare with an appropriate doctor's referral under the Chronic Disease Management Programme.

Please note that gap payments will apply for Medicare clients.
