About Alison
Alison Self has over 30 years experience as an occupational therapist working with people who have sustained a concussion or brain injury and have cognitive impairments. She has experience working in the UK and Australia. On moving to Western Australia in 2002 she joined a specialised brain injury rehabilitation team and re-developed the occupational therapy programmes for the service. Since 2007 she has run her own independent practice providing cognitive rehabilitation for people recovering from concussion and brain injury.
Alison is registered with the Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists. She is an approved provider of cognitive interventions under Medicare's Better Access to Mental Health Programme (BAMH) for adults and children. Alison is also an NDIS registered provider.
Alison is based in Perth, Western Australia and travels to locations both metro and rural to provide assessment and interventions.
